25 Billion App Downloads in the Apple App Store

Developers seek for alternative ways of promoting their apps. How is Apple and its competitors going to respond?

When Apple first came out with its iPhone and the App concept, every decent app made it to top 25 apps at least for a short period of time which was bringing a lot of revenue to those who made them. Since then, we have seen 5 versions of the iPhone and the 6th version, iPhone 5, is coming out.  Business Insider reported that if apps in the App Store keep their download rate, there will be 25 billion apps downloaded in 2012 while having up to 650,000 apps available. Now, this is a massive number for developers who are entering the world of apps. Competing with such a large number of Apps is not easy and very soon, there will be more and more demand for alternative ways of promoting.

Four reasons why paid search will be demanded in not so distant future:

These entrepreneurs offering app promotion services face the problem of starting a new business which takes quite some time to make it successful.
